Each year parents, teachers and volunteer mentors are polled regarding improvements they have seen in the child since being matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister mentor. The survey is used by Big Brothers Big Sisters and other mentoring agencies across the nation and is based on the Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets. The results above are for children in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan mentoring programs in 2006.
